by KevinFreitas on 5/12/2008 @ 10:39pm | Joeseppi's is in Westgate. And it's the closest thing to a mall in this northerly part of town for many folks. There's some good food in spots like Flying Fish and a pretty solid pet store (Pets 'n Pals, I believe) where we can get bulk seed for our bird Thea.
It's not a complete waste but I'd sure love to see about 3 stories of residential above each of those strip malls. Then there'd be more of a real community. |

Buried deep within the initial consultant report for the mixed use center review, there is actually a recommendation and plan to "save" Westgate and the mall.
It basically calls for placing back streets in the areas and infilling the acres of asphalt with multi story mixed use buildings. |
