T(A)G ATTACKS AND VANDALIZES TACOMA CONDOS author: T(A)G Jan 10, 2008 17:48 STOP GENTRIFICATION! In the city of Tacoma, WA, over the span of several days, members of Tacoma Anti-Gentrification have paint-bombed condos, smashed condo windows and disabled the vehicles of condo dwellers. Tacoma Anti-Gentrification is a collection of individuals who wish to halt the shameless takeover of our city. Gentrification is an act of war on the part of the government and corporations against the population of the United States. This aggression must be opposed by any and all means. These actions were in done in solidarity with the people of New Orleans and everyone else in the US who is currently watching their city being invaded by the rich and their condos. T(A)G |

Seattle residents are telling Tacoma we are too gentrified? Amazing. They give the expansion of suburban development a free pass and then attack depopulated downtown Tacoma. I think they need to join a local Sierra Club chapter where they can learn that it is environmental to fill in urban areas with buildings in order to reduce pullution, save farmland, save energy, and reduce global warming. (The Cascade Chapter of the Sierra Club is in Seattle) |

Also IMO the forum post about TAG defacing condos and the owners car is promoting illegal activity. By allowing it to stay yes you are creating disscusion but you are allowing what some will call a terrorist group promote hate and illegal activities. These are the same people that during their little party downtown a few months ago also defaced private property with grafiti in my neighborhood (including church property) Let them tell the world their views on your site but when it comes to promoting violence or illegal activity that goes to far. If some dumb kid reads that post and goes out and smashes some condo window and gets shot by the owner I am sure some at Exit133.com will not be feeling to good about leaving the post up. |
