Bike helmets are one of those things that even cheapskates and/or freecyclers should buy new. Kind of like car baby seats. More »

We had a helmet-less rider with us this last ride (who I suspected all along was Mofo, perhaps I was wrong...) And I have to admit that I removed mine about 2/3 of the way up that killer hill -- I swear it got muggier every 12 inches of that climb and steam was unsuccessfully trying to escape off the top of my head. The helmet just had to pop, like the valve on my gramma's pressure cooker. More »

Good times on the ride, only one time where I kind of wanted to die (coming up the hill from Ruston Way). We ended up cutting off the whole Jackson->27th->Fircrest bit and went along the Scott Pearson trail instead. More »
