Boaters take note: driving into work this morning I saw some pretty sizable debris floating in Commencement Bay. Tree trunks and such likely dumped in there from the Puyallup running so high with the recent rains/floods. More »

My neighbor's very prickly about doing yard work on/near his property, but I cleared the street most of the way down to the corner. If I just do my strip I just create a dam. More »

The city of Tacoma is asking people who have accumulations of leaves in the gutters in front of their homes to please rake up the mess before it clogs the cities storm sewers. I'm placing this information on the feedtacoma web site because of the proliferation of street tree lovers who frequently avow their love of big leafy trees hanging over all the streets in town. Last couple weeks I've done some early morning solo rides, including the Titlow one mentioned above. It's looking like the weather is going to hold for another dry weekend, and I am planning another ride for Saturday sometime, maybe midmorning, finally going across the bridge. More »

Current forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy and 61, which is decent weather for a ride, since body heat goes up pretty quick anyway. I'm sure I'll go riding regardless, but if it looks tolerable enough for everyone, maybe we can squeeze in another group ride? More »
