Anyone else see a funky, Union Pacific rail car rolling along side Schuster Pkwy this morning? It was very clean and modern looking. More »

ES@You're obviously a well educated person so it's probably easy for you to recognize "doublespeak." The addictive gamblers who in many cases are plunging their families into very grave financial situations are not so aware. The promotions for the lottery products are carefully scripted to appeal to low income groups and, I believe, to ESL immigrants. More »

The Washington State Lottery is encouraging people to wager their hard earned money and claiming that "it's good to play." Then why does it caution would-be gamblers to "be a smart player? " A truly smart player would never spend a dime on this scam. More »

You have a good idea there. chalk is not 8bit With more contrast between chalk colors and a greater volume of chalk put down, I think your idea would work quite well. More »

Too many walls are really bland and I wish commissioned murals (graffiti-styled or otherwise) would go up. This would keep unwanted graffiti down and possibly provide more of an outlet for local artists of all kinds. More »
