So a bigoted landlord in an anarchist society, if he wanted to, could refuse to rent an apartment to a blackperson, a white person, homosexuals, Catholics, Protestants, atheists, etc...if they so desired because as you put it, they dont have to "associate with certain individuals or groups if you dont want to." anarchism opposes all forms of authority and hierarchy, which includes slavery, so an anarchist society wouldn't allow. the abolitionists like harriet tubman and john brown could be described as close to anarchist. More »

You are mistaking anarchy with chaos. The main presumption behind anarchism is that rules handed down from government are not required to maintain order, and that, given time, people will simply recognize what actions maintain order in the best way through discussion and agreement. More »
