Lewis Black always speaks the f-ng truth. In support of earth day, I think that I will walk to my neighborhood watering hole, drink some local spirits, and then stagger home. More »

This may be off-topic, but I went to the Earth Day activities at the zoo. Huge crowds, overflowing parking lot. More »

tacoma1 @ We're in agreement! I never suggested people drive their kids to school. More »

@ Fredo Buses cause less pollution and take up less space than all the cars that would be needed to fill the void created without the bus service. If you can force all kids to walk or ride a bike to school (no parents are allowed to drive the little darlings to and fro) then I'm all for it. More »

Counter intuitive, in what way? Buses cause pollution, students are too flabby, and the schools need more funding. More »

Don't tax farm land in the Puyallup Valley and add an extra tax on all non farm use of the Puyallup Valley. It would be both "green" and a matter of good Nat'l Security if more of our produce came from local sources. More »

OK, That's one way to do it. Seems a little counter intuitive to me, but if it works, I'd be OK with it. More »

Living in harmony with our Earth and lessening our impact on it is an important exercise we should engage in every day. Does anyone have a thought on how we as a society could live a little "greener? More »
