there may be some government employees working in high level positions such as engineering where you may be correct debivans. OTOH do you really think that a person who is working the counter at a government office or is holding a traffic flag is really "evolving" into a better government employee? More »

A selfless politician would serve one term, then let the next person serve. Politicians who refuse to let anyone else serve would not be described as selfless, but rather as selfish. More »

The contrary can be true of both parents and politicians. Some do it for their own personal gain and some do it as a completely selfless act. More »

Parents take on their responsibilities in a selfless manner expecting nothing in return except the hope that their children will become fully engaged citizens. Politicians have a much murkier agenda and one which they are loathe to completely reveal. More »
