Something interesting, you may wish to know: 1) law prohibits gas stations for selling gas at less than wholesale+taxes, even for sales or promotional events. This was designed to protect smaller companies from the big multi-nationals 2) Gas stations can tack on however much additional profit as the market will allow 3) the current wholesale gas price per gallon is right about $2.50 for 87, $2.59 for 89 and $2.70 for 92 octane 4) the NYMEX crude futures is currently $89.43 per barrel, or $2.13 per gallon.
