If you saw the real crew in the mess hall, you would instantly recognize these two as being pretty accurate characterizations of the actual people. Viktor Vasilyvich, however, is a composite of three other members of the crew (not seen in KYRGYZ 606), but are also crossed with Borat (after all, Kazakhstan does border Kyrgyzstan), ultimately making him a four-in-one character. I don't think Stephen Baldwin can do a fake Russian accent.
