NiN when I saw Lost in Space it was on my parents 1948 Zenith Console television in black in white on a round CRT picture tube.We did get a Magnivox color TV sometime around 1965 or perhaps in 1966.Anyway when my brothers and I grew up we switched the channel to watch the Batman TV series instead so I only recently was able to see the second and third season of Lost in Space on Hulu.It was kind of like reliving the 1960's and seeing something that I missed.It was kind of odd because after seeing the show again after 44 years I forgot the content of the episodes but fondly remembered the characters. I think that the first sci fi series that I saw on television was the Outer Limits in the early 1960's.We also watched the Twilight Zone as well.Sci Fi as a genre was really big in the 1960's.It seemed like half of the TV series broadcast back then in the decade of the 60's was about sci fi or had to do something with space travel.Later on I did watch all of the original Star Trek series on network TV.My mother was a big fan of Star Trek back then.I think my personal favorite sci fi film choice would be Forbidden Planet (1956) and my favorite sci fi TV series would be the original Outer Limits. I watched all lost in space episodes on sci fi channel growing up. I believe Mark even has a mini B9 robot on his drawing desk right this very second. More »

The 1960's TV series that I remember from my childhood that had Atomic powered spaceships,LASER guns,jet packs and Robots was called Lost in Space.It was about the future starting in October 1997.I especially laughed when the characters use reel to reel tape recorders in the episodes and the B9 Robot uses discrete transistors.
