Even if you have the top 4" of dirt replaced in your yard (which is what happened in force a few years ago throughout N.Tacoma) I would think vegetable gardens would need to be self-contained in a planter box? Otherwise, wouldn't the roots grow down to the old, festering heavy metal of yesteryear? More »
