I've noticed a decline in activity on the feedTacoma blog. This despite the fact that it's the best place on the web to launch discussions of all things Tacoma. What's the reason for this? Thousands of people in the area are hooked up to the internet with broadband connections, wi-fi is widely available, and people use iphones everywhere.
Is the problem that we as a society are faced with information/blog overload? Is the problem that people think that their opinions aren't valued, or that they don't have opinions or just don't care? I'm concerned that if topics don't generate discussion that feedTacoma will become increasingly irrelevant. Let's not allow this to happen. My resolution for 2009 is to add comments whenever I think it's appropriate and to begin discussions whenever I think they are needed. I invite other Tacomans to do the same. By using this valuable resource in the way intended by KF we can enjoy a site where Tacomans turn first for information about our fine city. Have a happy new year fellow feedTacoma contributors! |

I, like you, want this to be a place of strong opinion and grand respect. This is, indeed, a good town, and here is a good place to meet. |
