I just got off the phone with the wife.
Anybody ever come home to find a pile of black plastic garbage bags dumped behind their house in the alley? What can one do in this situation?

I imagine you'd want to give the City a call. Hopefully if you haven't personally called in about such a thing before they won't have a problem picking it up. Call up (253) 591-5001 to report illegal dumping.

If they do have a prob, just use one of your two free Call-2-Haul's. Call (253) 573-2468 or visit TacomaServices.org

Good luck!

You can also use the power of the internets to file an online request for blight removal from the city's web site. It seems to work pretty well.

NumbSkull lives on an alley. NS has found his recycling bin filled to the rim. What is interesting is that NS has not put anything in his recycling bin. NS says this was not a magic trick. NS frequently finds trash in the alley, NS frequently picks it up. NS once found a human turd in his bottle recycling bin. NS now thinks that was somewhat funny, but not when he had to clean it up. NS sorry about your problem. Late.

It could have been worse. Some people who illegally dump leave asbestos or some really scarry stuff.

NS thinks poop is more scary than asbestos. (kidding) Late.

NS wrote a Haiku about the alley plight... want to hear it? Well here it goes...

Garbage unsightly,
alleys a dark place to dump,
trash, bottles or poop.

Late, NS

It's a good thing that you got it handled soon. Garbage dumpers tent to pile on (pardon the pun) when they think they can get away from disposing garbage in an area.

newsflash: garbage has been removed by the city. I hope they really stick it to those dumpers.

Think they'll be able to ID them? I suppose a quick sift through their dumped items might reveal an envelop or solicitation or two that would help track 'em down.

Yeah. The house the garbage came from is a chronic dumper.
