feed>>tacoma bike club: squeeze in another?

|Current forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy and 61, which is decent weather for a ride, since body heat goes up pretty quick anyway. I'm sure I'll go riding regardless, but if it looks tolerable enough for everyone, maybe we can squeeze in another group ride? It being October I'm just going to jump on any slight chance we've got, since it'll be a while before there is consistently good weather again.
Doug will probably glare at me if I suggest anything involving that Waterview/Ferdinand hill again. So instead I will suggest and entirely different waterfront hill adventure: Titlow!
My vague notion is to loop through North Tacoma starting with the route of the first ride Doug and I did: Proctor until it ends, then wind over to the last bit of Stevens. After that, head up over Pearl, and start back South on Vassault. Cross the 16 at Skyline, then make our way over to 6th. Head West on Sixth down to Titlow. Probably pause there for a few minutes, then South on Crystal Springs to 19th. From there, it's just a matter of distance vs. incline. We can zig zag between 19th and 27th to make it up to Bridgeport, or follow Grandview over to the less steep 40th St (by Curtis) or even all the way to the up and down Cirque. Whichever option suits the group's energy level, once at Bridgeport we can make our way back over to the trail and head back in the direction of The Red Hot or whatever.

|Oh, and now my five day forecast widget decides it's going to rain on Saturday. Joy.|

|Yeah... on reflection, I'm going to save this one for the next time there is good weather on a Saturday, and do indoor things this week.|

|Last couple weeks I've done some early morning solo rides, including the Titlow one mentioned above. It's looking like the weather is going to hold for another dry weekend, and I am planning another ride for Saturday sometime, maybe midmorning, finally going across the bridge.
The plan is to head from the western end of the Scott Pierson trail (over here at 25th and Trafton), all the way down to the Narrows. The trail crosses the bridge, then spits out a couple blocks from the Cushman Powerline Trail, which pushes another couple miles into Gig Harbor.
Any takers? Depending on how much people want to do, possible variants include going through the North End to the Skyline pedestrian bridge, rather than following the SP trail the whole way, maybe tacking on some more riding on the Gig Harbor end, or possibly heading down Grandview to the Chamber's Bay trail around the new golf course after we come back over.
