MNF @ The Red Hot

Had a great time for MNF last night at The Red Hot. I'm not even a huge football kinda' guy and it made for a really relaxing evening. I highly recommend hanging out there for the tasty dogs, good company, and, oh yea, the game.

Sorry to have missed it. We tried to make it back in time, but the iPod called. Had to go all the way to Bell Square to get the one I wanted. Now I am set to fly on Thursday.

Saw the second half of MNF at home while munching on Galanga take out.

I'll be by about 5:30 or so to see some of the game and grab a snack. Any other takers?

I'll take, bit I'll be very late again, after a $5 dinner then business meeting at the Pythian Temple.(anyone curious about the building is welcome to come through back Court C door from 6 to 7.) I have to check out a night-time project for work tonight, so I plan to hang out at TRH until 10:00. I hope my schedule overlaps with some of you.

I BLLEEEDDDD Silver and Green... and with that said...

...I have a preschool orientation to go to.

Sheesh. I mean, it is PHILLY/DALLAS. There is no more important game all night. The hotdoggers need to root for my Eagles!

Blue and Silver. Too bad, big boy, it won't be the same shit-talk fest without you!

Dang. Was hoping to snag a look at the project.

Preschool orientation can't be all night. Plus you have a client (e.g. izenmania) you should update. I'm full of all kinds of justifications. :)

I'll be there 'round 5:30 tonight. Cheers!

Another clash of the titans tonight:

In this corner, at 2-2, resting comfortably at last place in the NFC South, their one comfort that they are tied with Miami for the best record held by a last place team: the New Orleans Saints.

And in this corner, with a dominating 1-3 record, happy just to be in a division with the winless Detroit Lions: the Minnesota Vikings.

My bet: the game could go either way, but both teams will be more impressive and fun to watch than yesterday's Seattle Seahawks.

I'll be there this week, and if we are lucky and can secure our sitter... my wife will be joining me.

I'm there. I'd root for one or the other but, lo, missed getting my picks in this week. :( Fortunate Chris@TRH is pulling our worst week from the competition.

Still undefeated defending champion Giants, fresh off of an absolute steamrolling of the Seattle defense last week, face the extremely mediocre 1-3 Browns. Which means it will either be a pretty boring game, or a massive upset.

Still undefeated Tennessee Titans take on division rivals the Indianapolis Colts. Though sporting a somewhat mediocre 3-3 record, the Colts still pack one of the best quarterbacks of the last decade, so you never know when they could spontaneously break out.

5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers take on the 6-2 Washington Redskins tonight. Does two solid teams mean a good game is in the works? Who the hell knows these days?

Added bonus: watch the Steelers defense beat up on Shaun Alexander! Just like old times.

Tonight: a game that's almost kind of relevant to us (or would be if we were even remotely a contender)!

Our division's first and second place teams throw down. Coming into this weekend, there were three divisions in the NFL which did not have a single team with a losing record. By contrast, our division had the Cardinals (5-3) in first, and a three way tie for 2nd, with the Hawks, the 49ers and the Rams all sitting pretty at 2-6.

With the Hawks' close but no cigar loss, and the Rams' absolute reaming at the hands of the Jets, the 49ers are now alone in second, and will be up until the point that they lose to the Cards tonight.

5:30 PM, and if we get bored of football and talking, there is as always Lord of the Rings Pinball to be had.

Yet another clash of last place versus crappy tonight (gotta wonder if ESPN has started to question their preseason scheduling choices). Buffalo Bills, coming off a three game losing streak after a remarkably strong start (in which they handed us the beginning of our own collapse), are now the best last place team in the NFL at 5-4, in what will probably be the hardest-fought division of the season.

If they can take down the not-quite-last-place Browns (3-6, happy to be in a division with one of the worst teams in the league), they'll be in a three way tie for second, a game behind Favre's Jets. If the Browns squeak on out, they might almost have a chance at making a run at the Steelers. Or at least they can pretend like they do, like the Hawks would have pretended if they could have won yesterday.

I'm there. Sometimes crappy teams are more entertaining due to more errors, riskier plays, etc. Cheers!

The availability of beer usually makes the intolerable tolerable. Cheers!
