Mary's Burger Bistro August 22nd (not the 20th)

So, since we all had to much fun hitting the Red Hot on opening day, how 'bout we do it again? Mary's Burger Bistro is opening up for lunch Monday the 20th. Anyone care to join me and some of my office mates there for lunch at noon?

Here's their menu.

Where abouts are they in relation to the theater district?

by KevinFreitas on 8/17/2007 @ 8:56am
23rd and Pacific. You could Link it over to 25th and walk two blocks back.

I will be there.

Frinklin is feuding with his overlords and will be unable to attend.

I might manage to be there, if I can manage to lose one or the other kid. (Why do they keep following me?) With both it's impossible for anybody to carry on a conversation.

Hey Jen - I saw this thing on Mythbusters the other day - you can rub coffee grounds all over yourself to get rid of your scent. Maybe that will throw them?

I'm all over it. I've been walking or riding past that place four times a day, five days a week, just waiting... waiting...

So, the opening date has changed to the 22nd due to Mary being under the weather. Wed. is normally our office staff lunch but I can probably swing by after. How's 12:30pm work for everyone?

by izenmania on 8/20/2007 @ 8:40am
Dang... and I so didn't bring a lunch today. That's what I get for living sans internets.

Hey, here's an idea... because we recently discovered that my extension is actually 115, doesn't that mean I would technically have the pick again this week? Hmm...

*ponders dragging the entire office down the street for a meeting at Mary's*

Works for me! Run it by the boss man and I'll mention it to Mary if I have a chance to meet up with her today.

by KevinFreitas on 8/21/2007 @ 7:07am
Mary's will be open tomorrow serving breakfast from 6-10:30am and lunch from 10:30am-3pm.

I'm free for lunch at noon. Any other takers? Anyone else plan to stop by for breakfast?

by izenmania on 8/21/2007 @ 8:17am
I may try for breakfast. In addition to seeing if we can sneak our staff meeting over there.

by ensie on 8/21/2007 @ 9:25am
Wait so the the plan is...?

Things are getting complicated.

by KevinFreitas on 8/21/2007 @ 9:37am
I'll be there at noon for lunch. Any takers?

by izenmania on 8/21/2007 @ 11:06am
The plan just got simpler for me and Kevin... for unrelated reasons, our staff meeting got cancelled, so we've got no lunchish obligations. So... noon it be?

(I'll still probably go for breakfast, pending how much luck I have getting out of bed in the morning)

by jenyum on 8/21/2007 @ 9:13pm
I am trying to make lunch happen. Maybe if I bring my husband back a free cookie.

by OddTodd on 8/21/2007 @ 10:00pm
i'm in. i'll be there around noon.

Well, they passed the breakfast test. Ordered at their walk-up window while oldies played over the speakers outside. Had me a grilled sourdough breakfast sandwich with bacon and it was tasty. The ranch for dipping on the side was deadly but good.

I'll post a full round-up of my thoughts and links to others here and over at KFnet. See you today at noon!

Met up with Mr. Freitas for a fine breakfast sammich this morning. Initial impressions avaiable at the newly christened Izenmania. See y'all at noon!

Well....? The suspense is killing me! It's gonna have to be pretty good to get me to drive down to SoDo and fight the Link track for parking...again. I went down there last weekend to sample the goods and found a closed sign. Please, someone, shed some up-to-the-minute light on the state of affairs at Mary's.

by KevinFreitas on 8/22/2007 @ 3:59pm
They're open and the blogs are lighting up. Lunch was really busy over there. Check out the FeedTacoma homepage to see a bunch of first impressions. Once I find a minute, I'll toss up my $.02 worth.

There is $2.00 parking at the US Bank almost next door for up to 10 hours - pretty reasonable.

by jenyum on 8/22/2007 @ 8:17pm
I parked right behind on A Street - free! Lots of room there, too. (Follow the Dock street access signs, then turn in by the welding place)
