The Red Hot: Brats, Beer, Ninjas...What more could you want?

Typically on a Memorial Day weekend people such as myself like to take advantage of the early summer weather. You know, get together with friends, grill some dogs, catch some sun.

Unfortunately the weather of this region is being its mercurial self and bringing us some lovely thundershowers this Monday. In this case, might I suggest having your cookout in?

My husband, who has been referred to as a "closet introvert", isn't real big on dining out. However our dining experience at the Red Hot warmed him up to it considerably. The cozy and laid back atmosphere and our favorite show, "Ninja Warrior" playing on tv had us feeling as though we were still in the sanctuary of our living room. The diverse menu of gourmet hot dogs ranging in price from a mere $3.50 to $4.00 will only add to your confusion as to whether or not you're actually eating out!

The best in comfort food and an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Oh, and would-be ninjas.

The Red Hot's now serving their dogs from 11 to 10 Monday through Thursday and 11 to 11 Friday and Saturday.

Nice. Sounds like the Red Hot certificate, the prize from Episode V, went to good use:

There is a highly unofficial FeedTacoma meetup at the Red Hot every Monday, and I don't think we'll be skipping that just because of the holiday. And you're not alone on the Japanese TV. My wife and I discovered both Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Bansuke via the Red Hot and now we never miss it.

Awesome, I'm definitely in. Any time in particular work best? 6pm? 7pm?

I go through phases of finding a confortable place I like, then getting tired of it for some reason. If it gets too popular and crowded, hires bad staff, or turns into a place to be seen, I tend to move on. There are only a couple places on my current list of go-to places. It took me a while, but you guys know I'm also hooked on the Red Hot now (especially Mondays) and Ninja Warrior. The TV commentator and translated subtitles are great. It is a confortable place, and the staff is great. Maybe I'll see you ninja gaijins there. I can't wait until the Red-Hot pinewood derby event, too. I haven't seen the rules or date yet, but I'm working on my entry.

Unusually lively this evening. Thought it was closed when I arrived and found it empty, but within an hour or so, it was as full as I've seen it. Warm holiday cheer.
