Downtown Quiznos No Longer Quiznos

Stopped in at the Quiznos on Pacific for lunch today (attached to the Tully's in the DaVita building) and discovered that they are no longer associated with Quiznos. The big sign is still up on the sindow but they've removed almost all the logos indoors. According to a posted notice they have become Chef's Subs. A perusal of the internet brings up no such chain, so presumably they have gone independent. I don't know if this is because Quiznos shut them down as a franchise, or what.

Right now the menu is basically the same, most likely because they still have their last order of Quiznos ingredients to get through, but they have a survey out taking suggestions for drinks, soups and chips since they are apparently no longer under the same distribution contracts with Mrs. Vickies and the other Quiznos partner brands.

I'm curious to see what happens when they lose the recognizable brand name. It's always quite busy at lunch, and I can't imagine them losing the base that's used to their location, unless quality slips dramatically.

Wow, that's interesting. Not a Quiznos fan myself so I'll be interested to see how Chef's Subs does instead. May have to stop by to fill out a survey. Thanks for the info!

Never found it particularly convenient to eat there, but always loved their Steakhouse Beef Dip. Awesome french onion sauce.

Who cares.

Tragic beyond words. I hope that two SubWays and the Hal of a Sub can keep up with the sub sandwich demand in downtown Tacoma.

Who cares.

People who want to see more such places stop being franchises and start being local businesses.

yes that's nice and all, but enough with the posts about how this place is closing and that place is closing, it's boring. Sorry, but it's true.
