by NineInchNachos on 2/19/2008 @ 10:22am | its just a silly one.
You know how the neighbors had a march to show their solidarity? well this cartoon shows what a 'counter-protest march' of criminals and thugs would look like. general commentary is that why do law abiding citizens even need to have a march in the first place? Where are the friggin' cops? Oh they're busy dealing with imaginary bomb threats ala the Aqua-Teen Hunger Force type fiasco. in other words civilization is an illusion. |

The unfortunate fact is that they are not dealing with imaginary bomb threats but real live crimes. I honestly believe we have some of the most committed and hardest working police officers in TPD, but there's simply are not enough hands on deck. The incident that elicited this rally indeed is evident of the thugs trying to take charge, hell they do a pretty lucrative business with no taxes, no licence.... they are not going to give up their "establishment" that easily. So...what's the "monkey shines?" - I ask knowing I am not supposed to need to - sorry! |
by KevinFreitas on 2/19/2008 @ 10:35am | So...what's the "monkey shines?"
Here's a link to various local blog entries about it. |
by NineInchNachos on 2/19/2008 @ 10:38am | Yeah the monkeyshines are like these little glass balls that are hidden (suspiciously in garbage cans, strapped under bridges, etc.) around Tacoma for Chinese newyear?

sounds like a good enough argument for the legalization of drugs to me since people buying all these drugs could get them at TOP or Wallgreens... there would be no economic need for Drug Dealers. Everybody Wins! |
by AP on 2/19/2008 @ 11:26am | Seriously. Aren't their revenue streams mostly made up of drug money? Wouldn't legalization cripple these groups? Or would they just steal more cars to make up for the lost drug profits? I say LEGALIZE IT. |
![]() by Catherine on 2/19/2008 @ 11:26am | LOL! Thanks for the 'shine's' info. Where can I get some? :-) |
![]() by Catherine on 2/19/2008 @ 11:33am | oh I mean glass balls btw! I do not think leagalization would do it, after all the police were late to this rally because of a burglary I believe of a pharmacy. Oh the irony! |
by NineInchNachos on 2/19/2008 @ 11:46am | hehe. Ah the stolen cars... if we had the street cars people wouldnt need their own cars and so they wouldn't get stolen. If no cars got stolen, If there were no drug dealers, we wouldnt need as many cops. so far we're on the right track by not having many cops. |
