by KevinFreitas on 4/3/2007 @ 8:30am |
Feel free to drop your suggestions for future Tacomics here. We may not use everything but appreciate all your ideas and if we don't use it one week, we just might the next. Our schedule, for your info, is usually to nail down the idea for each Tacomic by the Friday before they are published. |
by Erik on 4/7/2007 @ 8:00pm | Tacomic is going well. Good reviews by many people.
More ideas for Tacomic 1) Walmart. Savior of Tacoma? Friend or Foe? 2) Tacoma as a dumping ground for felons from DOC. 3) Coffee and Rhetoric 4) The WSHM wall is stail there after 6 months. Is this is some kind of endurance contest? |
by KevinFreitas on 4/8/2007 @ 10:41pm | Thanks Erik -- those are great suggestions. We've got our topic and you'll get to see the results Tuesday morning. |
by Erik on 4/22/2007 @ 3:58pm | Here's a few thoughts for the Topic for week of 4/22.
1) The state legislature passed the anti dumping ground legislation for felons to help Pierce County, 2) The TNT business section reports Tacoma is looking for a new "brand" Tacoma: city in search of a new branded slogan www.thenewstribune.com/265/story/45215.h... So Paguirigan’s layered images of hipsters over Tacoma scenes came with lowercase twists: • “tacoma. reach your destiny.†• “tacoma. shape your destiny.†• “tacoma. control your destiny.†• “tacoma. create your destiny.†3) Mystery of the old safe solved www.thenewstribune.com/441/story/43015.h... (They have not opened up the safe yet. The mysterious contents could be a subject) 4) "Hello Cupcake story". The permutations are endless. www.kevinfreitas.net/journal/hello-cupca... 5) Self implosion of Eagles Building combined with something. www.kevinfreitas.net/journal/eagles-buil... Good luck. |
by KevinFreitas on 4/22/2007 @ 9:09pm | Thanks Erik. This week's comic is in the can. Stay tuned Tuesday morning at 6:30 to see what we came up with. |
by Erik on 4/22/2007 @ 9:26pm | The City of Destiny awaits. |
by Erik on 4/28/2007 @ 3:39pm | Topic:
You may be ahead of us all, and likely so. Perhaps next week is already "in the can." However, the topic for this week could likely be Stengers decision not to run for city council. Obviously a hot topic which now leaves a seat open. A treasure trove of material: www.exit133.com/1798/no-reelection-bid-f... www.exit133.com/index.php?s=search&q=ste... Lauren Walker and Ryan Mello's name came up alot in the thread. Perhaps these two fighting it out with the end of Stenger's time. |
by NineInchNachos on 5/9/2007 @ 10:12am | There was a request for a feed tacomic webcomic promo banner ad so I have created one! Add it to the bottom or top of your Tacoma website! ![]() code: <a href="http://www.feedtacoma.com/tacomic/"><img src="http://www.feedtacoma.com/img/promos/tacomic_banner-1.gif" alt="Feed Tacomic, Tacoma's only Political Cartoon by RR Anderson" /></a> |
by Erik on 5/12/2007 @ 10:56pm | Somehow, the topic of this month's Tacomic seems inevitable. (The fawn) The question will be can it be combined for a good effect.
(Entrance to bridge of glass and fawn in a basket with some sort of twist.) I know, I know, its probably already "in the can" but one can still think aloud. The problem with the fawn is that it is so contemporary. Yet, it is the though of the week. Busy week for our Webmaster, a reveal on Tuesday a.m. and a show on Thursday. |
