The good news about Tacoma's "budget crunch"

The Tribune reported this morning that "the good times...may be gone" regarding the revenue situation at city hall. All I could think was, thank God the city council was able to give itself a huge health benefit package just before the news hit. Had the council waited any longer, this incredible perk probably would not have been affordable.

Mr. Nachos, I am almost entirely computer illiterate or would be happy to provide the link. The story is on Page B1. My quote paraphrased the information found in the 2nd paragraph.

"The council postponed funding for the Museum of Glass that would have provided a truck to carry its mobile hot shop exhibit around the state."

Looks like people will still have to come to Tacoma to see the Hot Shop glass. I kinda see that as a good thing. Maybe once they're here, they will buy some glass, and some sandwiches, and some coffee, and some of this, and some more of that..........
