It appears that a new Apple Retail Store is opening up in the Tacoma Mall.
seattle.craigslist.org/tac/ret/951386239... I always thought it was funny that since I have a few Apple adds on my real estate website, my page comes up up in the first few web results on google for "tacoma apple stores", "tacoma washington apple stores" etc. I usually get a few hits from those keywords every month. Now I am guessing eventually the search results will lean more towards the new store. |

That's awesome. That means someone, somewhere in the lean, mean, Apple machine has made the decision "Tacoma is somewhere"; somewhere that needs an Apple retail. Let's all rejoice. Let's all pray. Pray that Apple will also be known for wise business decisions AND great aesthetic design. |
by thriceallamerican on 12/9/2008 @ 1:51pm | How soon can it open? I'm having some mini-DVI port issues on my MacBook and don't wanna drive to frickin' Westefielde Shoppingtowne Southcentre. |
by dawntown on 12/9/2008 @ 1:54pm | BTW, the end is coming.

by Brooks on 12/9/2008 @ 2:06pm | @ThriceAllAmerican - The folks at the MacStore (not to be confused with the Apple Store) in Kent might be able to help you with your DVI port.

by seejane on 12/9/2008 @ 7:08pm | Anybody remember Quantum Computer out on Tacoma Mall Blvd. in the late 80s and early 90s That's where we'd go to buy apple computers back then. Cleaning out the garage a couple of years ago I came across the box my Quadra 800 came in with the price tag still attached.... $4,999

by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 12/9/2008 @ 7:32pm | I remember Quantum, yes I do. I also got some of my early macs there. I see it, in my mind's eye every time I pass by it on the freeway. Good times at Quantum. |
