potentially totally not blog-worthy...

(or not.)

I wish I had something totally cool to say.  Topical timely, etcetera...

The MacBook Pro seems well, mostly.  Every now and again, it has a weird twitchy reaction, and I suspect the whole wine spillage was like a human-created onset of some sort of computer cancer.  The external keyboard is like a prosthetic limb, but it doesn't mean some mutation hasn't gone to the lymph nodes.

That said, the "Man left and I'm feeling lonely" fog has lifted somewhat, if only because of the fact that I've had fires right, left, and center to put out, and a reasonably busy social calendar.

Mostly, the ladies of the Council-- and occasionally, their husbands --keep me sane.  Their voices soothe, and our conversations act as salve, much like The Man's voice does.  Mostly, I realize my life is good.  I have family,  friends, community,  music, work, an identity, physical strength and a healthy body... and, hell, a host of other things to be grateful for. 

I have a smart, funny, and fun kid (who's also cute as hell.)  I have love, am cocooned by love. I feel it in both directions.  The human I physically love-- The Man-- may be gone (and will come home temporarily before leaving scarily) BUT there's no lack of love there--in fact, that love feels stronger.

And to have that?  All that??   

To be perfectly trite, I am blessed.
