Does anyone else hear it?
I may sound like a mental patient here, but everynight at around 10 10:30 I hear boom, boom and it goes on for several minutes. I live in proctor. Could this be McCord or Ft Lewis or am I just losing it.

I'd guess artillery or demolition training at Fort Lewis.. Fort Lewis Public Affairs info here including a press release about November training exercises: www.lewis.army.mil/pao/ McChord: www.mcchord.af.mil/ Apparent loudness can vary with weather conditions, too. Grew up with it, so I hardly notice. Also, the freight trains switching in Half Moon Yard by the waterfront can make sudden loud noises. Your last guess may still be correct. |
