Defiant Weekly Volcano Publishes Controversial Tacomic

Its no secret that pressure was put on the Weekly Volcano to refrain from printing this week's Tacomic:

Here is the Tacomic in question which the Volcano gives the headline of "Opinion":

As RR Anderson explains through the City of Tacoma List Serve:

I would like to thank swarner communications, publishers of the weekly volcano, for their decision to stand up to dastardly threats of 'legal action' for their decision to run my latest editorial cartoon...any lesser newspaper would have folded to such pressure.

this is the cartoon my oppressors don't want you to see:

hooray for the first amendment!

your pal,
RR

As you may recall, the Volcano self censored two prior Tacomics here and here.

Frost Park Puzzle Moves Up in Volcano

In earlier issues, Swarner had relegated RR Anderson's Frost Park Chalk Off puzzle to the "adult" section of the Volcano rife with 1 900 ads.  In this week's issue, the Chalk Off puzzle was moved to page 3 under the title "Opinion."

Here's the Tacomic as it was printed in the Weekyl Volcano:

Mere coincidence?  Unlikely.

The Puzzle has never been in the adult section of the Volcano.

Thank you, Ron & RR, for keeping us up-to-date on how Tacoma is truly the gritty little city it is; or as the hoods call it "keepin' it real"

I feel alive here.

Now, if you will excuse me, my "personal massage service" just arrived...

I was quite happy to pick up a copy and see that particular Tacomic inside whilst on my delivery route yesterday. I do think it's my favorite Tacomic ever.

The last moth of Tacomics have been some pretty good political cartoons. RR seems to be hitting his stride.

Spew is carrying both Tacomic "Pink Cookie Revolution" today in the "Daily Word" and the Poster of the Day of C@TRH:
