About 3 hours from now ...

Relative Swank at Embellish

I was confused by the initial email. I'm so busy lately that I tend to scan rather than read my emails. The subject line was Relative Swank, Swank relative to Tacoma.

The teaser said:

 "Swanky" decor, food, drink, holiday hair and make up, extension add-ons, holiday gift ideas, great music, company and more!"

Of course this got my attention (I love shiny things) so I called Embellish Multispace Salon to clarify. This is what I found out:

Today from 4-4:30 pm I will be treated to swanky treats and champagne, free of charge.

From 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm I will sit in breathless anticipation watching a demonstration about holiday hair and makeup. Lord knows I could use a few new tricks.

Then at 5:30 pm I can choose from one of 5 stations where I can either have a 15 minute personalized consultation about hair color, haircut and/or hair extensions or I can have my makeup done by a professional makeup artist. (One less thing I need to do before going out on the town tonight thank you very much!)

The owner Patricia Lecy-Davis told me that anyone who books an appointment during this event gets an automatic 30% discount.

There will be lots of neat gifts there (at a discount no less!) that I can buy for my swanky or in-need-of-swank friends. The trick is, I won't know what the discount on these products will be until they ring it up on the register. Its called a "chance discount" and it could be anywhere from 10% to 50%. I feel lucky. I'm going for the 50%!

Items offered range from fancy soaps, bath washes, travel stuff, oils, room spray,makeup and assorted styling products.

I also found out that EVERYONE in attendance will receive a free gift bag !
