How Was the 72 Hour Film Festival?

I would have expected mass coverage by now, what with all the bloggers involved.

Maybe you are all still too hungover to type.

I'm going to have to wait and catch it on Click Network (it will be on Click again this year, right?)

I went last night and thought it was pretty awesome. I really wanted to attend, but most people I asked to go with me warned me off of it. One even indicated that it was far more fun if you knew someone who had a submission. I rebelled against all the negative chatter and decided to go anyway. We grabbed seats in the front row and from the get go, I enjoyed almost all the shorts. There were certainly some standouts for me, though..."The Bored Room", "Blogland Murders", "Army of Two", "Fortune's Dance", "Fortune's 11", "Foolish Games" and "T-Minus 72" which my vote ended up going for. But it was HARD to choose. My companion for the evening said the films this year were far better than last year.

It was well attended, the Rialto ended up opening the balcony when at first they had it closed. Pizza at the intermission from Garlic Jim's was good too.

An $11 well spent in my opinion.

I only made it to the last half and still thought my $11 was well-spent (I was one of them balcony folk).

I, too, had been warned ... and I was very impressed at all the VERY different styles (silent, surreal, music-based, etc.) and interpretations of the "required" elements.

Wow.

I'm waiting to write about it until after Kevin puts our film up.

I'll have it up shortly. Had a pretty good time last night but more about that and the adventure that followed in a few.

The lack of coverage has less to do with a wild night last night than the fact that many in our group are headed to Seattle today for a comic book convention.
