'Word on the Street' Joins FeedTacoma Community

Scott Fontaine's Word on the Street blog joined the FeedTacoma community of nearly 50 blogs today. Scott, Since the TNT has access to alot of the felony placement information in Pierce County, would you consider placing the information on your site monthly as a graph or at least giving an updated count each month.. See the TNT Editorial blog. Thanks. |

Yes, locations of releasees is good information. However, the comparative numbers of releases with other counties is the really the critical factoid to watch. |

And I should point out that the TNT doesn't actually have any more access to the information than any other individual or organization does. It's all public record. From what I understand, though, it's not like the Department of Corrections just releases the information once a month. A records request must be filed to get the info, and even then I'm not sure what form it comes in. Our editorial guys are fired up about it (as are quite a few others), so I'm sure they'll keep bringing everyone the latest. |

Good to see that they are. However, it is so hit and miss. It would be nice for the felon count to come out like the weather. And I should point out that the TNT doesn't actually have any more access to the information than any other individual or organization does. It's all public record. Yes. However, the TNT is already obtaining the information each month. Why not put it in a useful form. |
