I posted an image on Flickr the other day with the word "Tacoma" as a tag... but it didn't show up on the Pictures page...what did I miss?

Glad you like it, Mr. Anderson. More to come but feedback is always welcome!

Who do you think you are with this pagination homepage foolishness!? :) Also, you folks are missing the most awesome HFW feed. Yo.

Metro blogging is good stuff but I think FeedTacoma.com will do the job nicely. We're working on adding more features and ways to contribute plus this will all be customized to the way things need to be done here.

Anyone can feel free anytime to email kfreitas@feedtacoma.com to learn how, if they already have a blog or not, to join the Feed.

To Feed Tacoma

Thanks for providing a great resource for covering Tacoma. I had a possible suggestion for the future of the site. There is a website called Metro Blogging(http://www.metroblogging.com/). They are devoted towards city blogs. In the northwest alone, they have Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver sites. Maybe your site could turn into the Tacoma portion of that site. I have no connection at all to Metroblogging myself, just a big fan of the way they promote cities and I'd like to see their network of cities include Tacoma.

Keep up the great work.

Cheers

Isaac

Brooks: Thanks for dropping by! We'll get a RSS feed going once we have article commenting up here and even some original content created right on this site.

Keep your eye out over the next month and hopefully you'll like what you see.

Just out of curiosity, why doesn't Feed Tacoma have an RSS feed? I visit at least part of the site almost every day (the photography page: amazing how often the Museum of Glass shows up on Flickr) but often forget about the news portion.

how do you get the thumbnail images to appear from flickr? Can you direct me to a snippet of code or a webpage tutorial? Thanks!

Jake: They're actually the number of "Today" items showing on the site. Think of it like an inbox count for what's new here on the site. Plus, the number will auto-refresh along with any new items that get posted if you keep the page open.

What are the numbers after the name on the explorer window and also on my favorites list? They seem to change.... [5], [6],[7] etc
