David Smith-Ferri Talk on the Iraqi People

David Smith-Ferri, an activist poet, will talk about his encounters with the Iraqi people and the events that have shaped their lives over the last eight years. This will be a multimedia presentation with poetry and slideshows from his trips to Iraq and Jordan.

David Smith-Ferri is the author of the newly-released Battlefield Without Borders. He wrote many of his poems in the Middle East, during two visits to Iraq and one to Amman, Jordan. All proceeds of the book after cost ($2) go directly to Iraqi victims of war. Sponsored by United for Peace of Pierce County.
