Voice Over with Nicole Fazio

a StoryLab event for teens

In this day-long Voice-Over workshop, we will take a step-by-step approach working as a voice-over artist - from working with a microphone to the business side of being a successful voice over artist. You will learn to read and interpret various types of text, using your individual voice. You will learn the basics of staying focused and able to perform under the pressure of a recording session, including diction and relaxation exercises, and ways of quickly and effectively interpreting copy, as well as taking direction. You will have an opportunity to explore radio and television ad copy, technical narration, and character work such as video games. You will cover what to expect in a recording session, from auditions to bookings. You will have the opportunity to rehearse and record your own work.
