Can we really call this episode 24? I mean, I've still seen no episode that episode 23 ever happened. Did anyone chalk last week at all?

Oof, this week is difficult.

RR's Tinkertopia promo (Why didn't Mark get a picture of that? Why is it not embedded?) is excellent, of course, and I'm pleased to see that the Folk Singers in Hell are still around. I haven't seen them since a First Night long past, from years ago. Great depiction!

Joel brings us a very beautiful, ethereal piece with a lot of colors and blending...and a Muppets reference. Which kind of gives me a throwback connection to make: RR Anderson once declared Molly Lewis's music to be the perfect Frost Park music, years ago...so here's Molly performing "Rainbow Connection" with The Doubleclicks: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVybWK4a6Vk

Mark brings us the latest example of art theft, which I always have a weak spot for, stealing his own former entry and adapting it into another beautiful piece, this one with an incredible amount of color, shading, and realism. Definitely a front-runner this week...hell, it's a front-runner overall, for all the weeks.

Our dear Sonics Guy enters the fray, a rare act, considering he's usually busy having his photo taken. :-D Kris, I have to ask (assuming you're reading this): is that an existing Sonics logo, or did you just design yourself a brand new Sonics Guy logo? I'm rather sports-illiterate, so I'm afraid I don't know all the official Sonics logos by sight. Whatever the case, it's a great chalking.

Octopi and squid have become common and respected species in the Frost Park ecosystem, much like the extraterrestrial once was. It's always a welcome sight to see the eight-armed cephalopods lurking on the concrete, beautifully depicted as usual. May the cephalopods always be present!

Mr. Larson's Free Will comic is something I enjoy reading regularly, so it's nice to see the characters depicted in chalky form. And I love those facial expressions! Vunderbar!

And then there's Ben's "Something Green," which is the only piece to touch (via what appear to be four-leafed clovers) on the fact that today was Friday the 13th.

I think I'm currently torn between Mark's gorgeous piece and Ben's green piece...but who knows. I'll come back and cast my vote by midnight. Unless I forget.

Damn it. A power outage prevented me from getting my last-minute voting in.

If you'll allow me a "Okay, your power was out, that's a valid excuse" exemption, I vote for Mr. Davis. If I get no exemption, then...whoops, oh well, serves me right. :D

RRs piece wasn't included because he didn't start drawing until after 1pm. 'Cause rulz iz rulz.

Adam, thank you so much for taking the time to comment and vote (albeit late!). We were lamenting that people don't vote anymore. And the threads seem to be waning.

Episode 23 was rained out by torrential rain. Not just rain, which hasn't stopped us in the past, but sheets and buckets of rain. So, it is by happenstance that k^F was on vacation and not able set up the event. This is still the 24th week of the season... We just happen to call them episodes!

Vote count:
Monlux 3
Ben 1

Mark wins bragging rights.
