SPECIAL Families of Pierce County

Sign Language as a Communication Tool

SPECIAL Families of Pierce County is a support group for families that have children with special needs. Each month we provide an expert speaker that discusses a topic relevant to special needs. Although many of our families have children with autism, we are inclusive and welcome any diagnosis or disability.

Childcare is limited and available by pre-registration only. We always have a waiting list, so your child must have a confirmed status in order to attend. Parents are welcome to attend without their children, and we encourage others (i.e. teachers, etc.) that are interested in learning more about special needs to also attend and learn with us.

To see our list of speakers and upcoming topics, please visit the Events page of our website. You will also find a link to our childcare registration form in bright orange at www.exceptional-families.org/events.html.

This program is free and we welcome donations to our nonprofit, Exceptional Families Network, and to the Children's Museum of Tacoma at each meeting in order to help us with ongoing program expenses.
