Tacoma Art Place Open House

Come Kick Some Art

The opening of Tacoma's non-profit art center in the Hilltop will be a celebration that kicks art! The whole goal of Tacoma Art Place is to increase access to art, creativity by everyday people and visitors to Tacoma’s revitalized Hilltop neighborhood.

Last year a few community leaders went to Mali, West Africa to study the economic empowerment created by art cooperatives. Traveling as far as Timbuktu, they met with villagers and the First Lady of Mali. As a result of their trip and over a year of work by Tacoma's art patron philanthropist,Linda Danforth, Tacoma Art Place opens this Saturday.
