It's Friday!

A couple of things going on today:
1) This week's sponsor is: Stewart & Son, computer Consulting Services!

2) Today is the Tacoma & Pierce County Chamber of Commerce New Tacoma Awards. Joel will be attending so that people who can actually draw can compete to be the GREATEST ILLUSTRATOR IN THE UNIVERSE (of Tacoma [this week])

3) TINKERTOPIA is opening this Saturday at 10am - 5pm. If you are a regular chalkie, you better be stopping by at some point! Or rerun the tinker crab will come and repo everything from your chalk stash.

According to Derek Young's Twitter account, things have gone well at the New Tacoma Awards. Frost Park won the Public Places Award, and Dorky's won the Schoenfeld Award!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: If you go to Tinkertopia Tomorrow, you will be sad, because they don't open until Next weekend, July 20.

However, as I dropped off the "Genie bottle" I got a sneak peak at the space and WOW! I can't wait.

That's one sexy award. And no, I'm not calling it sexy just because it's phallic.

Congratulations!! I am torn in whom to vote for. Since my computer business was the sponsor I must recognize Monlux's entry, but for sheer power I'm leaning toward the young man's (Max?) drawing.

I have to vote for that wicked looking robot! Well done!!

So many good choices. Happy Birthday, Gini! A stowetrait is a wonderful present.

But I need to vote for the happy computer and his son by Mark Monlux.

I must vote for Stowe because he is awesome. Although my second choice is Max.

I vote for "Horses." I am especially intrigued by the horse head on the left. It reminds me of a chess knight, with some dynamic movement and potential hostility.

I was unable to vote, as I was at my high school reunion and wifi was spotty on the rare occasion I had time to try to log on. But for the record, I would have voted for Stowe.
