"Reel Food" -- The Garden

Films on Food Justice screened out in the Garden!

Bring a blanket, pillow,and your neighbors down to the Gallucci Learning Garden on S. 14th & G for a film that will surely feed your brain! The movie will be shown outdoors at twilight. Each movie will look at some different aspects of food justice.

July 26th: "Food Fight" by Chris Taylor -a look into the history of the farm bill and its effects--

August 9: "The Gleaners and I" by Agnes Varda --french documentary of the legacy of gleaners--

August 23: "The Garden" by Scott Hamilton Kennedy --the largest community garden in the nation born from the LA rights fights for its future--

September 6: "The Power of Community" by --how Cuba survived peak oil by growing its own food-- Seating is limited, so come early to secure your spot! This event is cost free and brought to you by Share the Harvest of the Tacoma/Pierce County Community Garden Program, the Pierce County Gleaning Program, and the Guadalupe Land Trust
