This week's chalk off is generously sponsored by the ART BUS! www.facebook.com/pages/Tacoma-ART-BUS/15... They're offering up 2 VIP tickets ($40 value) for their next Third Thursday ride (June 21) and the winner this week will also have their work featured on the button for that ride as the button artist of the month. Tim Farrell is the tour guide this month and there will be prizes and fun activities on the bus this month!

This week's suggested theme: Tacoma Art

See everyone tomorrow!

Really not sure if I'm going to make it tomorrow. I've been sick to my stomach for about a week and it doesn't show any signs of letting up. :(

Here are today's entries! Though most of us left early right around the time Ariel showed up so I have no pic of her piece. Withhold voting as you will in case we get a pic. Otherwise, use the word "vote" to help reward these hearty, rain-soaked chalk artists!

Just so there's no disappointment for those thinking of riding the ART BUS on June 21st - our bus does not look like the pictures Erik posted. He was just kidding. Ours is just a regular yellow school bus. The art is in the galleries, the bus is just the vehicle. :)

And it's free! Touch sea stars, anemones, and sea urchins in the tidepool tanks. See the Arroyo gray whale skeleton.

Man, it was a wet one today. Out of all the mer-chalkies that swam to the park today, my VOTE goes to Joel's awesome precipitation-activated art.

Well done hearty chalkers! I love Joel's melty piece and Poppy's super cuteness. But Troy's and Ben's were also great. Hmm... Infinite möbius strip of Tacoma art... I vote Joel. Just loved that rain action too much! Great work all. Always a pleasure.

I think this may have been one of the closest results ever. But the art bus prize goes to the school bus driver!

Ariel 5
Ben 4
Poppy 4
Joel 4
Troy 1
