Since we have some of the underworld nerdiness of Poison Apple and delicate beauty of the Tacoma City Ballet both sponsoring my suggestion for today's theme is:

DARK MEETS LIGHT

Interpret as you will. See everyone at noon!

...I'm going to need more time to decide. I had my vote ready for RxR, (loved that scolex creature when I saw it in person) but I just now saw the two depictions of Snow White by Debivans and Hank. I love the plump Snow White (candy apple in hand), and Hank's entry is a great use of space. The holes in the wall make it look as though Snow White got shot rather than poisoned. Oooh, dark. Nice. :)

I vote Debivans! (With a close second to Hank...very close!)

It was nice to get out there and chalk again! What fun with the ballerinas coming out to promote their show this weekend! And all the poison apples too!

I wandered through the store before chalking today, and you can have some fun in there, let me tell you! There's some awesome stuff over there.

I loved RR chalking in Stowe style. I think Ashley is gonna be a contender when she can attend on a regular basis this summer. But my vote this week goes to HANK, that snow white is great. debivans is a very close second.

on 4/20/2012 @ 2:14pm
thanks Andrea! the scolex loves all humans.

I must vote for Debivan's snow white. Beware the poison apple! Get up, and join the Derby Dames!

Troy / Andrea / Hank your stuff looked GRRREAT!

I'm going to have to Vote for Hank this week. Debivans and RR tied for my second place.

I vote for Debivans, with a very close second place to Hank. Hank's work was clean, perfect, and amazing- but Debivans had again, that "disturbing" quality which isn't quite so easy on the eyes. A winner!

I'm one of Poppy's "Prisoners of Work" today. As much as I like it, I gotta vote for Hank. Truly impressive...

Hank has drawn Tacoma Snow White. . . hilltop drive by style! Don't wear red headbands !!!!!

I love the two Snow Whites for different reasons. I also like that they are at opposite ends of the park. Decisions...

I VOTE for Debivans. I like the full-figured Rubenesque SW with the candied apple. Quite a different kind of poison, but all too fatal, methinks.

Oh gosh darn it this was tough. I narrowed it down to RxR and Debivans, and after much vacillating and flipping back and forth between photos I've finally decided to cast my VOTE for Debivans. I so love RxR's poison-belching scolex monster, but I also love Debivans' beautifully done, (and as troysworktable put so well) Rubenesque depiction of Snow White. A fantastic and fun composition!

Hmm, great stuff today. Loved RR's, Meli's, Troy's and Andrea's work! Totally dug the unintentional sync between Hank and Debivans but I gotta vote for Debivans this week for his alt Snow White. Great job all! Two hours left to vote so let's get it on!

by Angela Jossy

I vote Debivans, because its awesome and deserving of a Poison Apple prize, plus she makes me look skinny by comparison and that's good for my ego. hahaha :)

Hank was awesome too though. And Andrea, RR and Adam always bring it!

Wow! It was a back 'n forth tug-of-voting-war battle royal between Hank and Debivans but, in the end, 1st and 2nd place go to...

1st - Hank 15
2nd - Debivans 10
Poppy 2
Andrea 2

Hank & Debivans, please email Melissa at Tacoma City Ballet (melissa@tacomacityballet.com) to let her know which show (today or tomorrow) you'd like to attend. I'll give her a heads up too. Likewise Hank I'll let Jooley over at Poison Apple know you won their gift certificate so you can pick it up anytime.

Great job everyone!
