The son of legendary Mambo musician brings the sounds of Latin jazz bursting with energetic rhythms and contagious melodies for a new generation. This concert will have everyone dancing the Cha-Cha and the Mambo in the aisles!

Puente, Jr. carries on his father’s legacy by presenting much of his father’s repertoire.
He has featured at the New Haven Jazz Festival, Houston Jazz Festival, Harlem Jazz Festival, and the Atlanta Jazz Festival.
Puente Jr. has participated in 2 USO Tours during the past 18 months.

Tito Puente and the Afro Caribbean Sound with guest speaker Antonio Gomez

Antonio Gomez is an educator at KCTS 9 Television, where he develops bilingual programming, curricula and community engagement for Vme, PBS Spanish language sister network. A veteran teacher of California K-12 classrooms (bilingual kindergarten and high school social studies, music, and Spanish), he now works on a range of programs supporting learners, from young children to high school students and teachers in continuing education. He currently performs with Tango del Cielo, Sin Embargo and Deseo Carmin.
