Wooden Jewelry Workshop

learn to make beautiful wooden jewelry

Naturally beautiful and readily available, wood is a ideal alternative material for jewelry. Learn how to use jewelry-making tools and skills to shape, decorate, and finish wooden forms, then attach findings to create a pendant or join pieces to form a necklace. We'll work with a range of commercially-prepared, scrap, and found wood; students are encouraged to bring something wooden from their home or yard to turn into a striking, wearable, and personal pendant. More advanced or speedy students may make earrings too! Suitable for all levels. Students should bring: any kind of finished or unfinished chain (optional), found wood, bamboo, or wooden object; additional wood will be available for purchase.
