Fused Glass for Metal Jewelry -Create fused glass "jewels" and set them into metal jewelry. This class is devoted to combining glass and metals into unique, personal jewelry. Fuse glass in the morning and mount it in a jewelry setting in the afternoon. William Ayers teaches a variety of glass classes at Rattarart Studios and he'll be visitng TMAC to teach glass fusing. Ayers will instruct the glass aspects of the workshop--color mixing, volume issues and the serendipity of fusing metals--including copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, and fine and sterling silver into glass. Amy Reeves will lead the jewelry skills:, findings, metal sawing and drilling, rivets and prong settings. No glass or jewelry experience is required. Most supplies included, dichrioc glass and sterling silver will be available for sale.
