Frost Park Chalk Off

Season 4, Episode 11

Come down to Frost Park and get your chalk off on! This weekly community art-in-action is open to all who want to chalk, snap photos, or just come by to enjoy their lunch and meet other Tacoma-types.

FeedTacoma is sponsoring this week offering a free ad on our homepage for 2 weeks ($100+ value!). The winner can advertise their business, freelance offerings, promote a position on a local issue, or even promote their favorite business (if that business is cool with that).

One of our resident Photographers (Darkain) decided he was too lazy to come down to the park today because he was too busy cursing at Photoshop.

He made me promise to take "Artsy" photos of the action today.. here's a sample, the rest are at:

Sad to miss out this week but duty called. Really love the colors in Gini's and Penney's chalking was awesome! That's probably the cutest piece I've seen Brian do (complements!) but I'm voting for Andrea this week. Here werewolf's mouth is fierce and beautiful.

Well done everybody! Still a couple hours to vote so make sure you tell your friends!

Had I been thinking, and had I voted for myself then everyone would have gotten a vote today.... Oh well, here's the tally:

Brian 6
Andrea 4
Gini 3
Poppy 2
Penny 2
Britton 1
RR 1

Brian wins again!

by KevinFreitas
on 6/11/2011 @ 8:55am
A couple inconsistencies in voting this week (one changed vote and one that didn't use the word "vote") but neither effected the outcome of Brian winning a free 2 week ad placement on the FeedTacoma homepage! Here are the counts:

Brian 6
Andrea 4
Gini 3
RR 2
Penney 2
Poppy 1 (or 2)
Britton & Daughter 1

Brian, I'll touch base for details about the ad but, I'd also like to throw in another 2 week local ad for our 2nd place winner Andrea as well. So congrats to you both and look for an email/Facebook message from me this weekend.

If you're interested in placing a local ad on a digital billboard that won't lower property values in your neighborhood please email for more details.

Great chalking everybody!

I concur with kevin's poppy tally. There is only 1 actual vote! And his RR tally is also correct. I got confused by the vote change, and thought i had counted RR's original vote but hadn't.

I got in late tonight had a busy day glad everyone liked the cute little red wagon thats the one I bring every week took me 15 minutes standing around what to draw that day was`nt planed . I will share that add spot for Comic Book Inc. and would like to do the second week for Comic Evolution . Both shops mean alot to me but Comic Evolution houses the coolest 16 ft murals that I`ve done one chak the latest was spray can and airbrush. Hope that helps these shops out.
