I vote for Monlux. (honorable mention to Stowe). I mean, a robot portrait with a bow tie? WINNER!

by KevinFreitas
on 6/3/2011 @ 3:44pm
Dawn's heart is beautiful and Gini's origin of potholes stirs something within my soul! Brian's portrait is a goodie along with Mark Monlux's stunningly chap-like robot. But, I vote Stowe this week because his likeness of me is just humbling. Thanks buddy!

Adam put your shirt on!

A lot of nice work today, I think I shall cast my Vote For Stowe that is one nice portrait.

I vote for Kevin Freitas.....Stowe's piece that is!

by L.S.Erhardt
on 6/3/2011 @ 4:17pm
In non-typical form, I'm not going to go for myself this week.
One has to give props where props are due, and Stowe's K-Fr8us portrait is wonderful.

Therefore, I vote for Stowe.

Sorry I missed out on a beautiful day at FP. Next time I will make it.

You can tell the sun was out today and inspired great work, but I'm on the Stowewagon this week. I vote for Stowe.

Thanks everyone for the early votes, especially Kevin for helping out with multiple poses. I know it is hard to be inside on a beautiful afternoon like this one. My vote is torn this week between a shameless self plug, a vote for Monlux (it is a bowtied robot for heaven's sake) and Dawn's wonderfully rendered heart. I must go outside in the sun and think about it. I'll be back.

gotta give my vote to Stowe, with an honorable mention to whoever took the picture of Kevin taking the portrait of himself taking a picture.

I really like Brian's thing, because skulls are cool! BUT...I vote for Stowe's Kevin, because he pretty much nailed it.

My vote is for Stowe. Wow. Nice.

by Mark Monlux
on 6/3/2011 @ 7:39pm
I thought I was doing pretty good coming up with a portrait concept that tagged onto three popular trends 1. Robots 2. Chaps and what you get when you mix both 3. Steampunk. And while I love voting for myself as much as the next guy (usually Thorax,) you have to love how Stowe was inspired by our sponsor (a photographer giving a portrait as a prize,) and did a portrait of a photographer in chalk.

My kudos and vote goes to Stowe.

Any other time I'd certainly vote for Monlux's Robochap but... Chalking up another vote for Stowe. Totally awesome piece, relevant to the sponsor and it doesn't hurt that the subject matter is easy on the eyes.

I Vote for Stowe. I overheard him saying something about doing carcicatures for $10 a pop next week. But I got to laugh at all the entries, tickled pink! Hizzah! Adams was a close second, and the Man of the Yellow Light?, Monlux's entry is exquisite. I can relate to Nick's puzzler, and that made me laugh. I'm digging Brian these days, man... There, I voted, Kevin..

Mark that robot is the bee`s knee`s you take that to another level with a robot tiki . Awesome color works there and use of the leftovers on the wall . Tuff call on the vote tonight.

I am finally back home. Beautiful day out there Tacoma. Thanks for the sun. I've been thinking about my vote for awhile now. I have been really torn between Mark and Dawn this week. Both of them created beautiful pieces of art. Ultimately though I keep getting drawn back to the vibrant pastel rendering of Dawn's heart. So I vote for Dawn's heart.

Great job everyone. I had the best time out there this week.

My vote goes to Stowe (and Kev) Not because they are two of my most favoritest people on the planet, but because, well damn! It's just awesome! Also loved Brian's piece, Mark's wonderfully rendered robot and Dawn's beautiful heart (the one in chalk...;)
What a great week! Great job everyone!

Wow, I just got home, watching an infomercial about removing unwanted hair. Wish I could've added a vote. If I could I would VOTE for the Stowe piece of friend of CLAW Kevin. On my way home I viewed it, and I was like; No Way, there's Kev!, Also, I really like Monlux's stuff, really dig the frame. Also Nick's Tetris corner is cool! Hell, every chalker rocked it!

by debivans
on 6/4/2011 @ 2:28am
Just gonna chime in again: Jeez, Stowe, you are freekin talented sir! That Kev piece is awesome.

by Jesse

Can I still vote?

I vote for Stowe... although... my five year plan? To own a robot.

Robots are cool... especially Chap robots.

I still vote for Stowe though. The art is great and a nod to Kevin is deserved.

Wow... thanks everyone. I had no idea I would win like that. I really love Frost Park and I am really glad I am still doing it 3 years later.

A part of me wants to be a chalk artist full time now. Heh.
