What is it? A can of creamed corn? A year's lease on a 2011 Porsche Cayman S? A package of stale rubber bands? Another Furby?

Come on Friday and find out!!!!

It looks to be a soggy one today, dress appropriately!

I beg to differ. It looks like it'll be moist today with only light rain falling through out the area. ;)

Rain likely, turning to showers in the late afternoon, followed by periods of sprinkles and sun breaks ;) A typical pnw forcast.

The Mystery Prize is going to be difficult to take to FP this week due to my whole moving "adventure".

That being said, here's the big mystery... an authentic piece of Tacoma history. A 4-real 1998 All-America City pin!!!

My transportation plans changed at the last minute, and then failed, so as I could now be there only for the last five minutes (if even that), I'll have to miss this one. Extremely unhappy about that, too.

Adam, I got video for you. How do you want me to get that to you?

If you could e-mail it to me via a file-storing site like, that would be awesome. Thank you so much for getting video!

A lot of awesome entries this week, but one stands out to me instantaneously. My VOTE goes to Dawn, both because it's gorgeous and hilarious and because the words "I'm ready for summer" have been uttered almost daily, by me, since November. And I'm usually a winter fanboy, but we did not get enough summer last year and I don't want a repeat of that lack of summer. If I'm still wearing my wool hat in June, I shall be quite put out. I'm ready to switch to the white hat.

I am also voting for Dawn. I dig the Summer Wanted poster. Summer is most definitely wanted.

summer, heck I'd settle for something that even remotely resembled spring.

I'm growing a bit weary of being damp and cold all the time. And this frozen crap falling from the sky is really starting to get on my nerves and make for an unpleasant bike commute.

Thank goodness I have a greenhouse, I may never be able to move my tomatoes outside

Vince tells me that he's not only unable to remember his password, password retrieval isn't working for him. Anybody have a hammer they can bang around on the system with?

Also, here are his pictures:

I vote for Stowe's awesome flower, though I share the sentiment of Dawn's summer drawing. Where the heck is the sun?!

I vote for Brian's Koi, because it makes me think of pagodas. Also, today I have to like the rain, because at least it helps keep fires from spreading.

Tram again with some lovely detail work and I love Poppy's delicious looking chalk produce! Stowe's rainflower is creepy cool (yeah, for some reason it creeps me out -- in a good way!) and I love RR's spirit capture portrait. Dawn's cracks me up and Brian's koi is just plain epic -- it was a blast to watch him chalk it right up to the 1 o'clock buzzer.

My vote goes to Brian for his piece and the sentiment behind it. This was a really close one for me though so great work everyone!

I could`nt ask for a better day to chalk, rain just helps the chalk stick and I dont want to take out my chalkie friends with chalk dust . Also watched my piece get washed away after being up for 1 year and a few extra days . It would be cool to see the fountains working again . So if it had to go thats ok.

Oh I forgot I vote for myself and really liked Stowes piece today glad we shared the wall today which led to me beingable to use the sidewalk as well . Cant wait for next week I`ve got alot more big stuff to chalk .

somewhere it's not midnight. in that time zone I cast a vote for RR & true grit. obviously he's not going to win, but this vote is designed to be encouragement for the fpco team to consider a theme of spirit captures...
