The 10th Anniversary selection of Tacoma Reads Together

An Afternoon with William Kamkwamba

Join us as William Kamkwamba shares his real-life adventure of growing up in Malawi, Africa, surviving drought and famine to forever change his life and the lives of the people around him. What did he do? Using information he found in old library books, he taught himself how to build a windmill to generate electricity for his family. Book signing follows.
