The event occurs monthly the second Friday of every month at King's Books. Sponsored by the Puget Sound Poetry Connection and the Tacoma Arts Commission.

Shannon O'Donnell crafts her written work in the midst of her life, working as a chaplain at the King County Jail. A non-coffee-drinker, she nevertheless volunteers to make coffee for the PSPC readings and steps in as facilitator in Connie's absence. In other words, she gives of herself in so many ways. Her poetry tells of her life with her mother who has Alzheimer's disease and reflects on the gift she gives and receives from her mother. We are privileged to be able to present her as our featured reader this month. Come and support this most generous poet!
