Mark Mcphail to open the Race and Pedagogy National Conference


Mark McPhail, an inspirational scholar who provided expert witness at the United Nations Rwanda genocide trials, will be the kickoff speaker for the Race and Pedagogy National Conference, at 7 p.m,, Thursday, Oct. 28 at Memorial Fieldhouse at University of Puget Sound. McPhail, dean of the College of Arts and Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, will give a talk titled “Where Do We Learn From Here: The Rhetoric and Politics of (Dis)Integration." Ticketholders for the cancelled talk by Harry Belafonte can use the same tickets or obtain refunds. Tickets are $20 general admission. Call 253.879.3419
