Rebecca Hom Storytelling Performance

Join us for a special performance of 'Stranger Guest Family: A Tale of Peace'. During a 2005 trip to war-worn Bosnia, Rebecca Hom heard an amazing tale of peace in the midst of life-wrenching conflict. She will share the story of one family and take you on a remarkable journey of spirit in the way only a master storyteller can.

Rebecca Hom, the BackRoads Teller, has traveled from farm fields to desert to rainforest; from Parisian cafés to China’s Great Wall to Sarajevo’s shell-pocked rubble. Migrating from Iowa farmlands to Alaskan fishing villages, eastern Oregon desert to western Washington rainforests, Rebecca has gained an intimate understanding of our shared human experience. She relates that intimacy through cultural understanding of the stories and insight into those who live these stories. Rebecca has worked as a forest worker, wildfire fighter, wildchild mother, literacy specialist and Alaskan Public Radio correspondent. She brings the wisdom of those diverse experiences to her performances and workshops.
