Tacoma Craft Beer Festival. Win TWO (2) 2-day passes (so YOU and a guest can go both days). The Festival is Fri Oct 1 and Sat Oct 2 down at Foss Waterway Seaport.
Tacoma Craft Beer Festival
is (unfortunately) still 21+ only, so if a minor wins, we'll come up with an appropriate prize. The value of the prize is $74. Each ticket gets you admission, 5oz TCBF Taster, and 6 tasting tokens.

Friday Oct 1, 5pm-9pm. 50 Breweries pouring over 100 different craft beers. We'll also be having a spotlight event on cask beers that night, "Firkin Friday at the Fest", which will feature firkin casks of beer from 12 brewers as well. All firkins to be tapped at 6pm sharp.

Saturday Oct 2, noon-8pm. 50 breweries pouring over 100 different craft beers. We'll also be having a spotlight on the canned craft beer movement that day with a Canned Craft Beer Garden, which will feature different canned craft beers from around the country.

There will be live music, a food area, and there is a free shuttle service from Tacoma Dome Station downtown that runs all day (30 minutes before and after the fest) to and from the festival grounds.

My non-existent wife needs the car today, work has piled up, and I'm running out of other lame excuses for not being at Frost Park today. But you can count on me to check in later and vote. Unlike Stowe, whose absence this chalking season has been keenly felt by all.

on 9/17/2010 @ 8:28am
Certainly is has. I will be absent as well due to my current trip to Memphis. :( Enjoy and sounds like this one could be a boon to the non-veteran chalkers!

My presence kind of depends on whether or not my roommates attend. Without a ride down, I'm still debating whether or not I can afford the bus fare.

Just went out to check... Indeed I was to slow, Council Member David Boe's Student Prince chalk mural has been power-washed off frost park by contractors following a miss-communication. This important historical work of chalk has been lost... because... of... APATHY!!!!!!

Hey everyone I had to chalk and run early today. Not enough time !!! I want to go back and finish my piece . Rain wont stop me I`ll draw a bucket or drain , the moisture helps the chalk stick and less chalk dust. The piece was going to be just random drawings .

by Bjr
on 9/17/2010 @ 4:18pm
Is it raining in Tacoma?

RR's appeal for SCIENCE! ***THIS IS NOT ART IN SUPPORT OF DRINKING AND DRIVING AS A PASSING PEDESTRIAN SUGGESTED***

But suddenly, at the bottom of the hour... Mark Monlux, the man in the yellow hat, attracts of flock of attractive young women!

Very interested in CHALK...

and these women thought it was funny we were drawing about fermented consumer products...

I vote for Mark, both because I like the ongoing tiki theme and because he'd be donating this very cool prize at the next CLAW open swim and I think it deserves a bit of a do-over on account of the weather.

Tonight is going to be a very busy night so I'm going to cast my vote.
